Stratocumulus lenticularis is een ongewoon wolkentype dat behoort tot het stratocumuluswolktype, het uiterlijk is dat van een platte lens of
amandel. Het wordt gevormd als gevolg van zwaartekrachtgolven veroorzaakt door wind die over obstakels gaat; bijvoorbeeld een berg of een gebouw. Ze komen vaker voor op locaties die heuvelachtig zijn, of op plaatsen waar de wind veel voorkomt. Ze zien er meestal beter gedefinieerd
uit wanneer een vreemde wind hun vorming veroorzaakt. Ze vertonen soms ook irisatie. Het is een soort lenticulaire wolk.
